Workshop Overview: This workshop will examine what distinguishes Interpersonal psychoanalysis from other theories with regard to enactments, dissociation, and the “interlock” between the patient’s and analysts’ blind spots. There will be a specific focus on an interpersonal view of separation and individuation that incorporates Loewald’s concept of parricide as a developmental achievement.

Co-Authored an edited book with Andrew Harlem entitled, Developmental Perspectives in Child Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy, published by Routledge in 2018 as part of the Relational Book Series edited by Lew Aron & Adrienne Harris. He also recently published a series of articles on the Waiting Room in Psychoanalytic Dialogues and a book chapter on time & vitality in the book titled, Vitality in Psychoanalysis, edited by Amy Schwartz Cooney & Rachel Sopher.
